EXTENSION TO FIRE DEFENCE SERVICE

The arrival of the new Carmichael RAF Fire Engines meant that they required a new home and P W Contracting (Gibraltar) Ltd were contracted with the task.

The main body of the works was the extension of the existing bays to house the new larger fire trucks and give vehicular access from the rear of the building, whilst the Breathing Apparatus room was also extended.

The project also involved using a system new to Gibraltar which was a "Protan", single ply membrane used to waterproof the roof.
